I so love the flower fields here in Germany! And they do something that nowadays would virtually be unthinkable in America these days….

It’s a self-cut and on-your-honor purchase!!

 

 

At the bottom, the sign reads “Only purchased flowers bring joy (friends)”. There is only one letter difference between the word for joy (or pleasure) and the word for friend. Great play on words!!

 

 

 

 

And yes! they provide the knives for you to cut the flowers with!

Oh and the handle of the knife reads “I was stolen from the flower field of the Family Schwab.” Absolutely brilliant!!

 

So what in the world were we doing hanging out in a Blumenfeld? Taking pictures of the girls and getting flowers of course!
