Well, it is a slow process, but the Hawaiian Princess is getting better about wearing her glasses. Of course, we have had to teach some responsibility--like when she takes them off, she MUST give them to Mommy or Daddy (as she prefers to throw them on the floor). She has also developed some definative manners in regards to her glasses. When she does take them off and hand them over to a parent, she tells us in no uncertain terms NO THANKS--indicating that she has done her due diligence and is now through with wearing them. This works for a few minutes--then we HAVE to put them back on to go bye-bye or to go outside to play. Thank goodness for transition lenses--that has been the selling point for the Hawaiian Princess since she is light sensitive.
All the stares and "ahhhs" and "how cute" comments from anyone who sees her wearing her glasses doesn't seem to hurt the cause either :)
We go back to the eye doctor next month to see how her eyes are adjusting to the glasses.
