We are currently in the MidWest on a mini-vacation with the main purpose of attending a family wedding and we got a call from our dumpster company. The dumpster we had rented had a max load of 3 tons. It was the largest dumpster this company had and it takes a lot to reach that load limit. Yeah well---our load weighed 5.7 tons!!!! And not everything fit in it--we (if you notice the pictures earlier on the blog) had 3 large piles of lumber for the bulk trash to pick up also.
Holy cow!!! 5.7 tons!! That is 11,400 pounds!!

So did the dumpster company take your trash? Or are you still stuck with 11,000+ lbs. of old deck and stuff?
yeah--the dumpster company took it all and we will have to pay extra for the extra weight--but they are great and just charging us what they were charged by the landfill. We will find out when we get back if the bulk trash was picked up by the city or not.
