Below are slide shows with pictures from our trip to Kansas City, the family wedding we attended and the reception that took place afterwards.
We received news the day before the wedding that my uncle (bride's father) had had a heart attack. He spent Friday night in the hospital and had a stent put in. Because of some irregularities in his heartbeat that night, they kept him another night so he was not physically at the wedding on Saturday. The bridal party was able to go to the hospital and have pictures taken prior to the wedding and a webcam was set up so that he was able to watch the wedding live at the hospital. In talking to one of the three other guys that watched the wedding from the hospital with my uncle, I heard it was totally a guy's way to watch a wedding--they had food and could laugh and joke and not get in trouble with the wives!! Sorry about the circumstance that led to it, but glad they could enjoy themselves :)
The reception was beautiful as well--my girls all enjoyed "cutting up a rug" especially the Hawaiian Princess and when she just couldn't stand and dance anymore, she rolled around on the floor :)
Uncle was able to come home and see everyone on Sunday! We were glad to visit with him!
