Daddy Hugs

For the last couple of months, the Racing Princess has taken to wearing Daddy's t-shirts to bed. We call them Daddy hugs cuz it's like Daddy hugging her all night long so she can feel close to him and so she won't have bad dreams.

Well, last night she chose this shirt. Not a t-shirt, but one of Daddy's Husker jerseys.

It's amazing what kids remember. She didn't even have this shirt on 5 minutes and she was telling me that Daddy wears it when he watches his game (aka football). And when Daddy is watching his game and wearing this shirt, he drinks Mountain Dew and has chips and dip. (Which is generally true--course it used to be that he drank red kool-aid, but she is much more familiar with Mountain Dew than kool-aid.) She went on to say how sometimes Daddy eats carrots and sometimes he grapes too. (again all true--Daddy can go through a bag of carrots or grapes during one football game--course he gets lots of help from his princesses)
