We said "Aloha" to our church family at PIBC today. This church has been the backbone of my strength throughout two deployments, an extension, and an Army school--not to mention a pregnancy, miscarriage, medical scares, and Mommy mishaps. If it hadn't been for folks at church loving my children and telling me how cute they are--we might not have made it through our time on this island as intact as we are. This church has a great children's program on Sunday mornings and AWANA on Monday nights and our small group met on Friday nights. They are ohana, our family. My children know no stranger at our church--all the adults are Aunties and Uncles to them and any one under 18 is a playmate.
PIBC's motto is "Working together to move people toward God." They have definately done that with each member of my family. The Disney Princess was saved and baptized two years ago, the Racing Princess knows God and much about Him, and the Hawaiian Princess has greatly been blessed by His Love through all the "big" kids at church loving on her. Daddy was well prayed for while he was deployed, even before they met him--while he is in a relatively safe job, it doesn't hurt to have the extra hedge of protection of the prayers of God's people.
Thank you PIBC for ministering to us--to our spirits, our hearts, our minds, our bellies and our boo-boos. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us, for allowing us to plug in and participate.
I like that Hawaiians don't say good-bye--they say aloha. We will meet again--in God's time. You will always be ohana for us and we gladly take a bit of your aloha with us, wherever God and the Army send us.

Pooh. I miss you already. Stupid Army. Many prayers for a safe trip.
Thanks for making me cry.... I miss the PIBC ohana terribly. Thanks for taking my jumbled thoughts and expressing them so well!
