with us purchasing our first home, we have been watching all those shows on TLC and HGTV about first homes and renovating and flipping, etc. Let me just say that I am quite depressed after watching the shows about purchasing a first home--our experience could not be crammed into a 30 minute episode--of course our experience isn't over yet cuz we haven't closed yet. UGH!!!!
Please pray that we can close early--right now it is scheduled for the end of next week, but we would be totally ecstatic to close this week--even early next week would be great.
We are so missing our household goods (not to mention the title to the 'stang so Daddy can register it I can have my van back, and other stuff we need to file taxes so we can get our refund to do stuff around the house), we are so sick of hotel living, we are tired of all sleeping in the same room (I have become quite a light sleeper with the birth of my children that I don't sleep much at night these days), and (yes mom it is true) I am tired of dining out--course i am also tired of mac and cheese and sandwiches also.
The Racing Princess spent a good chunk of time with Daddy at Lowe's and Home Depot on Saturday looking at paint colors for when we finally move into the house. We are gonna do some painting. Bedrooms will be first--the Racing Princess wants a light blue room for her CARS stuff, the Hawaiian Princess will get a lavendar room with a Tinkerbelle theme and since our room is so large, we might go with a darker shade of blue. We figure the bedrooms will be the hardest to paint with stuff in them, so they will get done first--then we can take our time deciding paint colors for the bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. It's hard figuring out some of this stuff when we can't act on it right away.
