So Daddy pulled a couple of all-nighters this week to get the cars ready for today's AWANA Grand Prix at church. When we went to the Grand Prix, Daddy was NOT happy with his car. He had some issues with the paint--it wasn't drying and then when he touched it, it came off or smudged. So he was not to thrilled with his final project. That was BEFORE the Grand Prix.
The Racing Princess wanted a cheetah for her car this year since it is the fastest animal on land (thank you Bindi, the Jungle Girl for us knowing this tidbit of knowledge so well). Her cheetah car received 2nd place for Design and 4th place for Speed.
Daddy's car was a 1965 Mustang fastback painted in the traditional colors of a Shelby Mustang--white with blue stripes. He received 3rd place for Design and was shocked and thrilled all at the same time.
