Halloween Party at the VLM--narrative

The Virginia Living Museum hosted a "Night of the Living Museum" last night. So the girls dressed up and off we went---great way to spend a cold and rainy night :) The Hawaiian Princess will tell you she was a cat and would Meow for you til sister corrected her and told her she was actually a leopart, then the Hawaiian Princess would growl :) The Racing Princess told everyone she was a Butterfly Ballerina. Needless to say, they both loved their costumes.

There were crafts and candy (of course). We also were able to see some live animals: a bat, an owl, a possom, and we even got to pet a skunk.

The museum had pumpkins and other Halloween decorations through out the museum and the exhibits which the girls thought was pretty cool (we haven't decorated our house yet). I even successfully scared the Racing Princess by one of the exhibits where they had huge jellyfish hanging from the ceiling. I grabbed her head and made a sound like she was getting stung by the tentacles of the jellyfish. After she jumped, she thought it was funny and was sure to avoid the rest of the hanging jellyfish decorations.
