One thing we really did not get a sense of in Hawaii was the changing of the seasons. In Virginia, the colors appear so vibrant on the trees, especially when it is not raining. These pictures really don't do it justice. The girls are fascinated that trees have colors other than green and that it's the leaves that are different colors and there are no flowers right now.
Of course with all this beautiful plumage comes cooler temperatures and the runny noses, congestion, relentless coughing and sinus pressure that comes with it.
