We had a field trip to Beck Bakery in Bechhofen. What an amazing experience!!
The girls and I really enjoy the pretzels here in Germany and as part of our tour of the bakery, we were able to make pretzels and eat them at the end. Here are some glimpses of our tour…

Even the Baby Princess tried her hand at making pretzels!
After proofing for about 30 minutes, our pretzels got a water spritzing and a light salting—then into the oven for 13 minutes…
Enjoying our pretzels!!!
They were awesome! The tour of the bakery was given by a Master Baker with nearly 40 years experience. This bakery is family owned and the third generation is currently running it.
We plan to go back often to attempt to sample all of the yummy goods that they sell!!
