DinoQuest

So this is the first of several educational blogs--ya know to make Daddy feel better about not having cracked a book yet this school year :) We have done several educational field trips while we have been in Nebraska...

Fontenelle Forest has this exhibit called DinoQuest going on right now. We enjoyed traveling along the boardwalk trail and discovering the different dinosaurs. I have put a tidbit of information about each dinosaur after their picture.

These incredible life-sized creatures were crafted by Guy Darrough of Lost World Studios near St. Louis, Missouri. Darrough has worked in paleontology and related areas for over 40 years. His technical and artistic skills in fossil preparation meet the highest museum standards. He is credited with the discovery of a wide variety of Cambrian and lower Ordovician fossil animals previously unknown to paleontologists and has co-authored articles published in the Journal of Paleontology.

Another random dinosaur tidbit: dinosaur eggs ranged in size but were not bigger than a soccer ball. Can you imagine that? Those great big dinosaurs from something the size of a soccer ball??
