This is a picture of the Florence Mill. (click on the picture for it to pop up in another window so that you can see the entire thing) It is located right off I-680 and 30th Street. It was constructed when the Mormon's set up Winter Quarters here. It was originially owned by Brigham Young. Two other families owned the mill after the Mormons moved onto Utah. It is one of three mills remaining in the Omaha area and is the only privately owned mill. Recently an artist purchased the mill with hopes of restoring this amazing piece of Omaha history.
